Hybrid Work Models: Navigating the New Normal

Introduction

In this day and age, many companies have adapted to work from home and in-office work models especially after the Corona pandemic. Now that the adverse effects of the Corona pandemic are over, HR officials are actively looking for ways to balance both Work from home and In office models and create a Hybrid Model to accomplish the company goals.

Balancing Flexibility and Connection

The hybrid work model simply means blending remote and in-office work to support flexibility without losing team synergy. When it comes to communication, tools such as Slack, Teams and Zoom are indispensable. HR departments must formulate clear, concise policies that define expectations while supporting employee autonomy. The focus is on the output not clock-in times.

Ensuring Equity in a Dispersed Workforce

It is very clear that a hybrid work model also comes with unique challenges especially around inclusion and collaboration. Remote employees may feel overlooked or sidelined for promotions. It is imperative that HR must ensure consistent communication and access to resources across all work setups. A well-set up hybrid model can boost engagement, decrease attrition and attract top global talent.
